Huangpu River Cruises
​Typical duration: 1-2 hours

A popular evening activity is a river cruise on the HuangPu River. Your group will see spectacular views of Shanghai's skyline from both the East and West sides while learning about the architecture and history of Shanghai. You can join a public cruise and enjoy VIP seats or we can help you charter a private cruise specifically for your group along with drinks, meals and activities.

Tai Chi Lessons
​​​Typical duration:1-3 hours

T'ai chi ch'üan, or Taijiquan, is an internal Chinese martial art practiced for both its defense training and its health benefits. You’ll have fun, learn an ancient art of ying and yang forces and get exercise in scenic Fuxing Park with master, Grandmom Long.​ This is a great way to learn about Chinese culture while team-building.

Calligraphy Classes
​​​Typical duration:2-3 hours

Try your hand at the historic art of Calligraphy. Miss Wang will explain the Chinese way of thinking as well as the importance of balance and harmony in the Chinese way of life. When rendering strokes with one's brush, you will experience the basic movements of Chinese writing. The study of Calligraphy will help you improve your understanding of Chinese people and their culture, as it incorporates some of the core philosophies and inspirations of China. She'll then let you try your skills at fan painting and you'll be able to make your own fan and bring it home to impress your friends and family.

Dumpling Making Classes
​​​Typical duration:2-3 hours

Enjoy the art of dumpling making with our master chef of an authentic local restaurant. You’ll learn how to gently wrap a variety of meat, vegetables and spices into a class Chinese delicacy. Once you complete your creation, you’ll get to taste your work. ​

Tea Ceremonies
​​​Typical duration:1-2 hours

Chinese tea culture refers to how tea is prepared as well as the occasions when people consume tea in China. Tea culture in China differs from that in European countries like Britain and other Asian countries like Japan, Korea, Vietnam in preparation, taste, and occasion when it is consumed. Tea is still consumed regularly, both on casual and formal occasions. In addition to being a popular beverage, it is used in traditional Chinese medicine as well as in Chinese cuisine.​

Bar/Restaurant Rental

With Shanghai's massive variety of bars and restaurants, this is a popular addition to any group program. You can rent out the famous Captain's Bar at the top of the Captain's Hostel on the Bund for amazing views while having social or other business activities. 

Watertown Excurions

Just a short distance from Shanghai is an array of ancient water towns. There provide an amazing getaway for your group to explore 100's (or 1000's!) years of Chinese history. You'll walk down historic streets, take a gondola ride on the waterways and learn about the local architecture as well as try the many forms of local street cuisines.
